Day 6 of no pain. I’m not sure why, but I am extremely grateful. It could be due to one, some, or perhaps all of the following:
Every day, I am processing greens, fruits and vegetables in a juicer (or a blender) and thereby retaining all of the fiber when consumed. This can be done with any combination of fresh, organic produce desired.
Today, I added spinach, parsley, broccoli, cauliflower, kale, garlic, ginger, lemon and blueberries to one cup of water and set the juicer on high for 2 minutes. Finally, I added whey protein powder and blended at low speed for 10 seconds.
I do this twice a day. The drink has the consistency of a smoothie, and I benefit from 100 percent of the fiber.
I have also been receiving acupuncture treatments twice a week for four weeks. To absorb more vitamin D, I sit in the sunshine for 15 minutes every day (without sunscreen). For deficiencies in magnesium and other trace minerals, I am taking vitamin and mineral supplements and soaking twice a day in Epsom salts (magnesium). No meat or dairy.
Today is chemo day. After this chemo, we will wait one week and scan my liver. If the liver tumors have backed off (which I am determined will be the case), I may be allowed to take a short break from chemotherapy.
I hope with all my heart to get on a plane to visit my daughter at college in Washington D.C. I can’t believe that I haven’t even seen her dorm room yet! That is absolutely wrong. How dare cancer keep me from being with my wonderful children! We must wipe cancer off the face of the earth, so we can all get on with our lives.
